Join us at Whitehead Railway Museum for a relaxing day of live jazz, heritage trains and family fun.

Enjoy live jazz on our station platform as you soak up the unique atmosphere of the museum. It's more than just a concert - it's a complete day out, with live music, heritage steam train rides, fascinating museum galleries and family activities all included in your admission.

Hauled by our 105 year-old steam locomotive No.3BG "Guinness", there will be short steam train rides available within our premises using our heritage carriages. Explore our fascinating galleries and let the little ones enjoy a selection of children's games and crafts. Whether you're a railway enthusiast, a jazz lover or simply looking for a great family day out, there's something for everyone to enjoy.

Your visit includes:

• Live performance by Easy Jazz (4-piece) on the station platform. Music on from 12noon-1pm & 1.30pm-2.30pm.
• Short steam train rides within the museum grounds.
• Access to our museum galleries.
• Children's games and craft activities.
• Refreshments available to purchase from our onsite tearoom.

Please note: This event takes place entirely within the grounds of Whitehead Railway Museum. The steam train rides are short journeys within our museum premises and do not operate on the mainline railway. We know many visitors have fond memories of our previous Steam & Jazz excursions on the mainline and, while we hope to bring those events back in the future, they are not part of this event.

Wet weather plan: If the weather doesn't co-operate, don't worry! The live music will move indoors to our historic carriage shed, so the event will go ahead whatever the weather.
