A statement from the Society.

In view of the current concerns about the upturn in COVID-19 cases, the RPSI has taken the decision to once again close the Whitehead Railway Museum and its Edwardian Tearoom to visitors.

We trust that you will understand this decision and continue to support the Society in the meantime as we, like other charities and businesses, will find this a very challenging time.

The Chairman and Board are mindful of the pressure that this situation places on all our staff and active volunteers and the management and staff of our partners in Translink and Iarnród Éireann and ask that they be given every encouragement and support as they struggle to cope with an unprecedented crisis.

It had been hoped to run some Christmas trains but the continued restrictions have prevented that.

The latest information on trains and event dates will be posted here.

Also, our winter meetings have gone online to the public.

Thankfully, we are still able to keep our Platform 3 Café open for takeaway service.
